MOULTRIE, Ga. — A driver who reportedly left the scene where she damaged two parked cars early Monday morning was arrested after police located her damaged car several hours later.
Police charged Molly Ann Kennedy, 34, 721 Eighth Ave. S.E., with failure to stop at an accident with damage.
Kenneth Norman reported that at about 1:41 a.m. he saw a beige Honda Accord strike a car near the intersection of First Street and Seventh Avenue Southwest. The Honda stalled, but the driver was able to get it started and drive away, he told police.
The Honda struck a parked 2003 Suzuki XL7 in the rear, causing severe damage and pushing it into a 2011 Jeep Liberty Sport, police said. The cars are owned by Marie Green, 29, and Brenda Waldrup, 58.
At 7:49 a.m. Green called police to report that the damaged Honda was at Kennedy’s residence. The Honda’s owner, Kela Spires, told police that she had allowed Kennedy to drive the car and later found it damaged at Kennedy’s residence.
