MOULTRIE — Helen Williamson Burgess Griffin, 76, of Moultrie died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Robertson and the Rev. David Benton officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Billy Sherrard, Christopher Leggette, Jose Soria, Dinkie Denham, Mike Burgess and Donald Wingate.

Born Nov. 29, 1933, in Opp, Ala., Mrs. Griffin was the daughter of the late Jessie Perthay Williamson and Maudie Marie Gilmer Williamson. She was a retired lab technician with Moultrie Textiles and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter O. Burgess; and her second husband, O.S. “Bud” Griffin.

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Causey and husband Johnny of Doerun and Cheryl Soria and husband Mario of Moultrie; two stepsons, Tommy Griffin and wife Debbie of Mobile, Ala., and Bill Griffin and wife Patti-Jo of Acworth; one stepdaughter, Judy Murphy of Coolidge; one brother, Sammy Williamson and wife Jean of Moultrie; 16 grandchildren, Sandi Leggette and husband Chris, Lori Causey, Jamey Causey, Nicole Sifford, Amber Rose, Chasity Gaines and husband Shane, Jennifer Webster and husband Matt, Cissy Jett and husband Dereck, Amanda Gomez and husband Jose, Rachale Lopez and husband Rocky, Lorna Wilson and husband Travis, John Thomas Griffin, Robert Griffin, Jeffery Mosher and Chad Mosher and Samantha Murphy; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
