MOULTRIE, Ga. — Tools were a popular target for thieves in recent incidents reported to the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office and Moultrie Police Department.

 • Todd Logan, 100 block Tallokas Trail, told deputies Monday that he loaned his truck Thursday to a man he knows because the man needed to move some furniture. The man didn’t return the truck when he said he would, but Logan was able to eventually meet him in Tifton to recover the vehicle.

When he did, he saw the tool boxes that had been bolted to the truck were gone. The man said he’d needed to remove them to get the furniture on, and he told Logan the tools were at his cousin’s house in Colquitt County.
