Pastor’s aide anniversary

Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 431 S. Pinetree Blvd., Thomasville, will celebrate the first anniversary of its pastor’s aide ministry at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26. The Rev. Tony Sirmons, pastor of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Naylor, will be the guest speaker, and the theme will be “Being a Servant for the Lord.” Pastor is the Rev. Tremaine O. Alford Sr.

Agriculture scholarship

Friday, March 24, is the deadline to submit applications for a scholarship being offered by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce Agricultural and Rural Services Committee. The $500 scholarship is available for a Colquitt County student who will pursue a degree in the field of agriculture, agribusiness or ag education.
