Both told police that they had been fighting each other, police said, “and both had the marks to prove it.”

Patillo reported that she had Andrews’ phone and he had hers, and during an argument he locked her outside. After tricking Andrews into letting her come back inside, Patillo called police and they began arguing again and that Andrews refused to give her phone back to her so that she could leave.

Andrews told police that Patillo started the fight by hitting him, causing a large scratch on the right side of his neck and a smaller scratch on the left side of his face.

During the ensuing struggle, police said, Andrews choked Patillo, leaving marks around    her neck. Patillo also      had a scar below her left eye.

After determining that both had participated, police arrested both.

Andrews, 22, and Patillo, 17, 624 Oak Circle, were each charged with battery.
