While on a curve in the roadway in the vicinity of Skipper Road, GSP reports said, Grace drove onto the shoulder on the west side of the roadway. He overcompensated and, when he lost control, the truck started rotating in a clockwise direction.

It flipped over onto the driver’s side in the south lane of the roadway and traveled 42 feet before coming to a stop, the agency said.

Grace was the owner of Grace Construction  Co. for 42 years, according to Mathews Funeral Home in Albany.

Grace’s death was the third traffic fatality in the county in 2017.  Whitley Kirk, 60, of Moultrie was fatally struck by a car on March 3 while crossing First Avenue Southeast in a motorized wheelchair. On May 6 Amber Norman, 31, died when her ATV overturned in the 200 block of George Flowers Road.
