Rants and Raves

Out of his reach: “Trump is a business man, but a democracy isn’t a business and a good Republican wants government out of business, right? Running a government seems to be totally out of Trump’s reach and will someone please inform us of what middle class Colquitt countians expect to benefit from the Trump campaign. Tax relief? Don’t hold your breath!
T-SPLOST
“I saw where all the counties to the east of Colquitt, to include Tift, Cook, and Lowndes, are voting on getting a T-SPLOST for their counties. Are we going to be able to have this same benefit in our county? What is the latest?
You kidding?
“Trump is making America great? Are you kidding? He’s making us a laughing stock.
Good job
“Today I was driving behind a big farm tractor rig. And he did pull over and let the backed-up traffic pass. I appreciate his actions.
No licenses
“Routinely we read in the crime reports of people driving with no license, license expired, no insurance, etc. So let me advise you to have ‘uninsured motorist’ coverage because these people also tend to have wrecks. Some even jump out and leave their vehicles.
Filled with hate
“The ranter who called Democrats baby killers must be filled with much hate to make such a statement.
Pelosi
“So the Democrats are thinking of replacing Pelosi from her leadership role. You can tell they are getting desperate.
Useless
“Press secretaries for presidents are about as useful as a boat load of Chinese checkers.
Just inept
“I don’t think Trump is running a scam. I just think he is inept in his role as president. We will survive this and I think both parties will regroup with better candidates next time.
What’s the latest?
“So what’s the latest on putting a roundabout at the intersection of Coolsprings Road and Highway 37?
A good laugh
“I heard a discussion recently with a fellow saying that if the illegals in Colquitt County were sent back home local folks could handle the harvesting of the vegetable crops.
I got a really good laugh from that. Just go out and visit a field when migrants are harvesting. I grew up on a farm but that scope of farming has truly ‘gone with the wind.’
Vegetables have to hit a marketing window of opportunity that can close quickly. The grower has to know that he can have an experienced harvesting crew on hand that day to meet marketing demands. Without these migrant workers, we would have no vegetable industry here.
