MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Library System invites the public to two meetings later this month to learn more about plans for renovations at the Moultrie library and to share their opinions with the library staff and supporters.
Meghan Teague with McMillan Pazdan Smith, the architects in charge of the project, will lead the meetings at the library at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 28.
The Friends of the Library will provide light refreshments.
“We scheduled two meetings so that people will have a better chance at being able to attend one,” said library director Holly Phillips. “I hope we have a great turnout.”
The project, which received funding in the state budget signed May 1, will redesign the library’s entrances to be more accessible and safer, Phillips said during a February interview.
Several of the library’s sections will be moved to improve both visibility and privacy.
