National tech winner

Thomas Wommack of Dunwoody, Ga., won first place in Electronic Applications at the Technology Student Association (TSA) national conference held in Orlando, Fla. He competed against 12 other semifinalists from around the nation through written testing, building of an electronic circuit, and interviewing with the judges to test the contestant’s knowledge about the components of the circuit.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Thomas Wommack of Dunwoody, Ga., won first place in Electronic Applications at the Technology Student Association (TSA) national conference held in Orlando, Fla. He competed against 12 other semifinalists from around the nation through written testing, building of an electronic circuit, and interviewing with the judges to test the contestant’s knowledge about the components of the circuit.

In March, Wommack competed in the same event at the Georgia TSA conference held in Athens, Ga., where he also won first place allowing him to compete at the national level.

The TSA is a national organization of students engaged in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Wommack is the son of Patrick and Angela Wommack of Dunwoody and grandson of Jack and Tina Hunnicutt of Moultrie, Tom Wommack of Madison, Ga., and the late Alleyne Wommack.
