VALDOSTA, GA (07/11/2017)– Valdosta State University is proud to offer scholarships to 279 currently enrolled, incoming first-year, and transfer students for the 2017-2018 academic year. These scholarships were established by private donors and are awarded each year by VSU Foundation Inc. to students with excellent academic achievement and/or students with financial need. Each recipient represents the high standards of the university. This includes:
• Tucker Prestridge of Moultrie, who received the Music Alliance Scholarship.
• Karen Ramirez Rubio of Moultrie, who received the Georgia Power Foundation and Retention Fund Scholarship.

VALDOSTA, GA (07/11/2017)– Valdosta State University announces the names of those students who were inducted into Sigma Alpha Pi: The National Society of Leadership and Success during the 2016-2017 academic year.

With 546 chapters and 730,515 members, The National Society of Leadership and Success is the nation’s largest leadership honor society, one committed to building leaders who make a better world. Students are selected for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction.
The National Society of Leadership and Success is devoted to helping members discover and achieve their goals. It does this by offering life-changing lectures from the nation’s leading presenters and a community where students help one another succeed.
The National Society of Leadership and Success provides a step-by-step program for members to build their leadership skills. Upon completion of the program, members receive their leadership certificate and take their place among the top student leaders at their campus and across the country.
