MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Colquitt County Schools and the school system offices will remain closed on Thursday and Friday. 

“There are many concerns including: two schools with no power, school nutrition delivery issues; as well as, several Colquitt County roads remain impassible,” said school Superintendent Doug Howell in an email to The Observer. “In addition, many employees, students, and families are still dealing with property damage and loss of power.

“I appreciate your patience.,” Howell said. “As always, the safety of students and employees is of the utmost importance.  We will resume classes on Monday, September 18, 2017.”
