Flower show winner Mary Phillips

The Magnolia Garden Club recently recognized its member, Mary Phillips, who won the top sweepstakes award at the 2016 Annual Perry Flower Show in Perry, Ga. She won many ribbons and a plaque for entries in the categories of Horticulture, many different varieties of Flowers, Vegetables, Nuts, and a Beautiful Design.

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Magnolia Garden Club recently recognized its member, Mary Phillips, who won the top sweepstakes award at the 2016 Annual Perry Flower Show in Perry, Ga. She won many ribbons and a plaque for entries in the categories of Horticulture, many different varieties of Flowers, Vegetables, Nuts, and a Beautiful Design.

The club praised Phillips, who lives in Cairo, for her diligent work with the club and youth. She judges horticulture at each meeting then makes arrangements from the flowers to give to the Museum of Colquitt County History, where the club meets, or to members who are ill or in the hospital, or for special occasions.
