MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce recently held a relocation ribbon cutting for the Children’s Cheer and Toy Shop now located at 589 Industrial Drive in Moultrie.
The Children’s Cheer and Toy Shop is operated by the Colquitt County Schools social workers. They are a non-profit that distributes new and used toys to needy families during the month of December. Their special distribution date for 2017 is 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 7.
The Children’s Cheer and Toy Shop is a United Way agency as well as a partner with the Colquitt County School system, Walmart, Culbertson Head Start, Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Toys for Tots, Applebee’s, local churches, and CRMC Hospice. They try to ensure all children between the ages of 1 and 12 receive something for Christmas. You can drop toys in the drop off box located in front of the shop at the Industrial Boulevard location.
