VALDOSTA – Georgia Power reports more than 19,000 customers without power in the Valdosta, Lowndes County and surrounding areas.

The Georgia Power outage map puts the number of outages just less than 20,000 as of 6:45 a.m. Monday.

Colquitt EMC does not have a number of outage for its coverage area but has issued a statement saying the company is aware of outages and has utility personnel working “to restore power as safely as possible.”
