Glenda Kaye Upton Bannister, 66, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, June 11, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Stuart Thomas, Scott Johnson, Michael Johnson, Blake Pearce, Blaine Pearce and Grayson Upton serving as pallbearers.
Born Nov. 23, 1943, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late John William Upton and Lorene Schwall Upton. She was a clerk for Colquitt County Program for Exceptional Children. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Hilton Upton and Bill Upton.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Bannister of Moultrie; a daughter, Wendy Barber and husband Chris of Madison, Ga.; and grandchildren, Anna Beth Barber and Abby Kate Barber, both of Madison, Ga.
Visitation will be held today, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
