MOULTRIE – Sam Sells Road at State Route (SR) 133 is scheduled to close temporarily starting Monday, December 9, but the junctions of Old Doerun Road to the south and Funston Sigsbee Road to the north will reopen.

The reopening of the two roads will allow continued nearby access to Sam Sells. Road closures at SR 133 are necessary for the continued widening and reconstruction of the state route.

Four sections of SR 133 are under construction. This section, from south of US 319/SR 35 to north of Mike Horne Road, is currently scheduled to be complete in late spring of 2025.

Sam Sells Road is expected to remain closed at SR 133 until next spring.
