Arrests

Moultrie Police

• Paul Edward Dawson, 45, and Lacrisia Ridley, 35, both of 319 First St. N.W., were each charged May 12 with battery.

• Leroy McBride, 53, 801 First Ave. S.E., was charged Tuesday with parole violation.

• Antonio Dewayne Caldwell, 37, 1105 15th St. S.E., was charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana.

• Nathaniel Pace, 35, 1711 12th St. N.W., was charged Tuesday with battery and interference with 911 call.

Sheriff’s Office

• Michael Clayton Tucker, 35, 215 Baypole School Road, was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana and possession of drug-related object.

• Luis Trejo, 22, 1167 Fourth St. S.W., was charged Tuesday with driving without license.

Thefts

Sheriff’s Office

• Terry Lamb, 400 block Merritt Road, reported Monday the theft of forklift forks valued at $1,000.

• Wal-Mart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., reported Sunday that a man and woman replaced price tags on bicycles with those of less-expensive models and then checked them through the self-checkout lane.

• Wal-Mart reported on Sunday that a woman concealed merchandise valued at $6 in her purse.

An employee recovered the Gain Fireworks laundry additive and police made an arrest.

• Wal-Mart reported Sunday that a man concealed a small amount of merchandise, was detained and arrested.

• Manuel Carrichi Munoz, 1500 block First Avenue Southeast, reported Saturday the theft of a 2002 Ford Mustang valued at $3,500.

• Carolyn Hobgood, 700 block Second Avenue Southeast, reported Saturday that a female acquaintance stole her Verizon flip phone valued at $15.

The woman leaped a fence after taking the phone, which she later dropped on the ground.

Hobgood recovered the phone and did not wish to press charges.

• Vernon Holweger, 900 Barbara Circle Southwest, reported Saturday the theft of an AT&T Galaxy S-5 phone valued at $800.

A boy who had been at the residence with Holweger’s son was brought back by his grandmother and he returned the phone. No charges were made.

• George Edwards, 400 block Seventh Street Southwest, reported Friday the theft of property valued at $3.

• Glenda Hancock, 58, Moultrie, reported Friday the theft of a set of keys to her van.

Hancock told police that she left the keys inside a restaurant in the 600 block of Veterans Parkway South, and when she went back in could not find them.

Entering auto

Moultrie Police

• Johnny Walker, 900 block Fifth Street Southeast, reported Sunday the theft of two T-tops valued at $75 each from his 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

• James Shuman, 2600 block Seventh Street Southeast, reported Sunday that a juvenile from a group took a quarter from inside his 1996 Volvo 850 Series.

Shuman directed police to a residence where an officer spoke with several juveniles and their mother. There was no damage to Walker’s car.

• Deborah Fountain, 35, Moultrie, reported Saturday the theft of property valued at $1,504 from a 2006 Honda Odyssey parked in the 600 block of 26th Street Southeast.

Battery

Moultrie Police

• Almetha Johnson, 600 block First Street Northwest, reported Sunday that a male companion hit her in the mouth with a pair of brass knuckles.

Johnson told police that she and the man were kidding around and the play turned serious. As he was leaving with his belongings and was on the porch he hit her.

Johnson had an injury to her lip but refused medical treatment, police said.

• Donyetta Haynes, 200 block Third Avenue Northwest, reported Sunday that a male acquaintance from next door started a fight with her nephew Monterrious Haynes and then hit another nephew, Maurice Smith, in the head when he tried to break up the fight.

Smith had swelling around his right eye and was checked by emergency medical personnel, police said, but he did not want to go to the hospital.

• Anthony Martin, 30 block 10th Street Northwest, reported Sunday that a male relative hit him in the face while they were on the porch and got into an argument.

• Tiffany Williams, 28, Moultrie, reported Sunday that a male companion slammed her head against a fence because he was mad and high on methamphetamine in the 1900 block of First Avenue Southeast.

An employee at a nearby store told police that while taking out trash she saw the man on top of Williams on the ground hitting her with his fists.

The man left the area before police arrived. Medical personnel transferred Williams to the hospital, where an evaluation indicated she was not injured, police said.

• Angela Moore, 33, Moultrie, reported Friday that a male acquaintance pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground.

Moore told police that she was in an argument with a woman when the man stepped between them, in what she thought initially was an attempt to stop her altercation with the other woman.

• Stephen Ramsey, 50, Albany, reported Friday that a male acquaintance hit him in the face during an incident in the 900 block of Sixth Street Southeast.

He also told police that the man had made threats toward him and his family.

Property damage

Moultrie Police

• Travian Herring, 400 block 31st Avenue Southeast, reported Saturday that the sound of someone beating on the window of his apartment and the sound of breaking glass woke him.

The screen had been removed and a pane of glass broken, police said.

• Taney Danielle Davis, 27, Moultrie, reported Saturday that her tire was flattened overnight while her car was parked in the 800 block of Veterans Parkway North.

• Gloria Williams, 800 block First Street Northwest, reported Friday that someone damaged her 2004 Suzuki Aerio SX.

An officer noted scratches to the back bumper and left side of the car.

• William Yearta, 84, Moultrie, reported Friday that a driver struck his 2015 BMW M235i while it was parked near the intersection of First Avenue and First Street Southeast.

A witness told police that the driver of a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix turned the wrong way on a one-way street struck Yearta’s car when he swerved to avoid an oncoming car.
