COOLIDGE – Miss Heather Merritt and Mr. Garret Hortman were married on the 16th of April at ten o’clock in the morning at The King and Prince Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al Merritt of Wray, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aldine Merritt and Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Young of Wray, Georgia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hortman of Coolidge, Georgia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hortman of Coolidge, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Murphy of Pensacola, Florida and the late Mrs. Jeanette Murphy of Coolidge, GA. The bride is a graduate of Irwin County High School in Ocilla. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Communications and now works at AgGeorgia Farm Credit in Ocilla as a Loan Officer. The groom is a graduate of Thomas County Central in Thomasville. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Agriscience. He is employed as the Integrated Solutions Manager for Ag-Pro in Thomasville. The couple resides in Coolidge.
