LIVE OAK, Fla. — Whitney Baptista, 19, died in a single-car accident on Interstate 10 around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The Tallahassee resident was driving a Honda Civic going east when her vehicle began to rotate into the center grass median where it collided with a tree.

According to the report, the collision trapped Baptista inside and set the car on fire.

Baptista was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP reports.
