A Moultrie man who was a possible target in a shooting in which at least 10 shots were fired into a residence could be tried next week on accusations that he destroyed a television at Colquitt County Jail.
In two of the other five cases on the Colquitt County Superior Court trial calendar, two men are accused of sexual assault in separate cases.
Some or all of the defendants may enter guilty pleas prior to trial.
Marcus Norman, also known as Marcus Yates, 37, 520 Ninth St. N.W., was one of three people, including an infant, who were at a Summer Circle road residence that was riddled with gunfire on the night of June 7. Some of the shots struck the headboard of another child.
Norman, Yolanda Williams and the infant were in the house at 12:28 when the gunfire erupted.
No arrests have been made in the case.
In the court case scheduled next week, Norman is accused of destroying a television set on July 14, 2010, at the jail. At the time he was jailed on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
