BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Margaret H. Crumley, 91, of Brunswick, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Hanson officiating. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park with Keith Campbell, Victor Varnadoe, Danny Harrell, John Bobo, Dale Buie, and Charles Sumner serving as pallbearers.

Born June 23, 1923, in Colquitt County to the late William A. and Mamie Lou Harrell, she attended Norman Junior College where she played basketball and received a degree in education. Mrs. Crumley also attended Brunswick Junior College where she received a nursing degree at the age of 58. A resident of Glynn County for over 70 years, she had worked in the Shipyard, Montgomery Ward and Crumley Gulf Station, and was the former owner and operator of Druid Oaks Trailer Park. Mrs. Crumley also retired from University Hospital in Augusta as an RN. After retirement she was a volunteer at C.B. Greer School and Sears Manor Nursing Home and attended the Chapel in Brunswick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie W. Crumley; two brothers, Alton Harrell and Cpl. Lamar Harrell; and a sister, Carolyn Hart.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Crumley and wife Beth of High Point, N.C., and Ben Crumley and wife Tammy of Brunswick; a daughter, Debbie Tankersley and husband Mark of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Sara Crumley Cress and husband Aaron, Hayley Crumley, Jessica Abell and husband Peter, Alan Tankersley and wife Suzanne, Lindsey Crumley and Ashley Crumley; and two great-grandchildren, Amos Tankersley Abell and Parker Elizabeth Cress.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the funeral and interment at the home of Ben and Tammy Crumley.
