Scott Dickson, a C.A. Gray Junior High School language arts and drama teacher, and David Roff, of the Medieval Re-enactment Group, fight with swords and shields during a Renaissance Fair held recently at the junior high. During the event, students and community members learned European social, economic, cultural and political elements of the Renaissance Period by participating in 'Dinner with Shakespeare,' an 'Exploring the Arts" museum, Renaissance recreation, a warfare re-enactment and glass-making. They also got a glimpse into the justice system of Europe. Instructors dressed in period costumes while students also made period pieces to wear.
