MOULTRIE – Mr. and Mrs. Craig Dekle Mims, of Moultrie, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Abby Caroline Mims to James Garner Faircloth. Mr. Faircloth is the son of Mrs. Marsha Graham of Thomasville and Mr. Jay Faircloth of Moultrie.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Virgil Mims of Moultrie and the late Geneva and Carroll Akridge.
A 2001 honor graduate of Colquitt County High School, Miss Mims attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. While at Mercer, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. In addition, she attended Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, Georgia, receiving a degree in Commercial Photography. Miss Mims was an honoree at the school’s Photography Portfolio Show. She is currently a professional photographer in Moultrie. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America as well as the Moultrie Service League.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. James Faircloth, the late Mrs. Margaret Garner Faircloth and the late June and James Travis.
A 2003 honor graduate of Colquitt County High School, Mr. Faircloth attended the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agri-Business. During his time at UGA, he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, the AGHON Agricultural Honor Society, Student Government Association, and the Ag Hill Council and was an Ambassador for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
Recently, Mr. Faircloth received the J.W. Fanning Young Alumni Award and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences UGA Alumni Association Achievement Award.
Mr. Faircloth is employed with Syngenta as the District Manager for Florida based out of Lakeland, Florida.
The wedding will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the home of the future bride in Moultrie.
