MOULTRIE- Donald Alvin Joiner, 75, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Dr. David Benton officiating.
Casketbearers will be David Whittington, Joey Faison, Craig Vines, Mark Brinson, Max Delacruz, and Marcos Delacruz.
Born March 17, 1940, in Cordele, he was the son of the late Willie Joiner and Vera Campbell Joiner. He was a retired supervisor with Mobley Plant Company and was the former owner of Carter’s Fried Chicken. He served in the U.S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Joiner; two sisters, Merle Tidwell and Merlene Cross; three brothers, Curtis Joiner, Royce Joiner, and Hulett Joiner.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Pope Joiner of Moultrie; five daughters, Ginger Joiner of Cape Coral, Fla., Debbie Nunes and Thomas of Moultrie, Jennifer Richardson of Jackson, Ms., Laney Pate and Glen of Moultrie, Amy Gant and Mike of Dade City, Fla.; fourteen grandchildren, Kayleigh Lacey, Morgan Pate, Lacey Pate, Tylar Clark, Jaylin Gant, Breanna Gant, Alex Pate, Brandi Nunes, Whitney Carl, Josh Nunes, Jordan Nunes, Sean Gallander, Cheyenne Martin, and Nick Carl.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service on Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
