Yearta, Uhl

MOULTRIE – Anne Yearta, daughter of Steve and Maureen Yearta of Moultrie, and Doug Uhl, son of Jon and Ginger Uhl and Diane Uhl of Peachtree City, Ga., were joined in holy matrimony on Sept. 12, 2015, at the historic Smithonia Farm in Colbert, Ga. The officiant for the ceremony was Reverend Will McQueen III of St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Moultrie.

The bride was accompanied by Lauren Redden as matron of honor and eight bridesmaids, Carissa McKinney of Moultrie, three sisters of the groom Amanda Jarrett, Michelle Wormuth, Christine Uhl, and Larsen Wilkinson, Wrenn Coussens, Sarah Thomason, and Anna Bradley . The bride’s niece, Lennon Yearta, was a flower girl along with the groom’s nieces, Taylor Jarrett and Ansley Engstrom.

The groom was accompanied by Hunter Smiley as best man and seven groomsmen, John Yearta brother of the bride, Brad Uhl brother of the groom, Rusty Jarrett brother-in-law of the groom, and Josh Huff, Cameron Aycock, Austin Agerter, and Bill Della Giustina.

Historic Smithonia Farm was a vintage yet elegant venue for the wedding. The majestic brick barn, with breathtaking views of the countryside, was decorated with white flowers and natural greenery along with wrought iron chandeliers. Music for the ceremony was performed on a hammer    dulcimer by Ms. Agene Parsons of Tennessee. The colors throughout the  wedding and reception were white, navy blue, and silver providing a graceful and stylish background   to the solemn but     romantic ceremony, and the very festive celebration.

After a honeymoon in Antigua, Anne and Doug now live in Dunwoody, Atlanta.
