MOULTRIE — Chuck and Connie Mercer of Moultrie, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren April Mercer, to Ryan Kirby Hembree. He is the son of Jimmy and Donna Hembree of Doerun.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter Mr. and Mrs. Julian E. Martin of Moultrie, and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey S. Mercer of Pavo.

A 2011 graduate of Colquitt County High School, she is currently attending Darton State College, in Albany, Ga., and is a dental assistant at Dr. Jeffery Barnett’s in Moultrie.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Hembree of Doerun, and Mrs. Frances P. Leiter and the late Mr. John O. Leiter of Bridgeboro, Ga.

A 2010 graduate of Worth County High School, he is currently a farmer at Hembree Farms in Doerun.

The wedding will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, in Doerun.
