Amber Lechae Hinton, 23, 1910 W. Meade St., S.W., was charged Tuesday with failure to appear after a motorist flagged down a Moultrie Police Department officer on Fourth Avenue Northeast. Hinton’s parents asked directions to Colquitt County Jail where they were taking her at the time.

The officer took Hinton into custody and took her to the jail, where she was booked on the charge filed by the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Department.

In February Hinton and Karine Lee Rodriguez, 23, 3088 Antique Oaks Circle, Winter Park, Fla., were each charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. At the time, sheriff’s reports said that Hinton failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway 37 East and Cool Springs Road.
