MOULTRIE — Mr. and Mrs. Robert Justin Qurnell of Moultrie, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Grace, to John Franklin Carter Jr. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Randall of Morven and John Carter Sr. of Thomasville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Virginia Qurnell Glass, the late Kenneth Qurnell, the late Betty DeLoach and the late Gerald DeLoach.

A 2006 graduate of Colquitt County High School, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in speech communication, in 2012, from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Ga. She is employed with Colquitt Regional Medical Center as a SciLearn manager.

The future groom is the grandson of Mable Waters of Barney, Ga., the late James Waters, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Carter.

A 1997 graduate of Brooks County High School in Quitman, Ga., he is employed with Southern States Toyotalift in Valdosta, Ga., as a customer relationship manager.

The wedding will be held Oct. 25, 2014, at Antioch Methodist Chapel in Moultrie.
