MOULTRIE — Wayne Blanton Bloodworth, 71, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at PruittHealth Magnolia Manor.

No formal services are planned.

Born March 14, 1943, in Moultrie, he was the son of Montine Nelson Bloodworth and the late Blanton Lee Bloodworth. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was employed as a market research analyst in New York City and Alexandra, Va., for many years. Upon his retirement, he devoted his time to further educational pursuits and indulged his passion for his literary interests, as well as many charities.

Surviving, in addition to his mother of Moultrie, is one daughter, Penelope Bloodworth of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Linda Gilmour of Moultrie and Kay Squires and husband William of Bonaire, Ga.; and one nephew, William Squires Jr. and wife Caroline of Warner Robins, Ga.
