MOULTRIE — Lee R. Braggs Jr., and Mary Blunt Strong were united in marriage on Sept. 26, 2014.

Ms. Strong is a retired educator with the Colquitt County Board of Education. She is a graduate of Albany State University and a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She is also a member of the Alfresco Club, the Women’s Federated Club and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Mr. Braggs is a native of Houston, Texas, and a resident of Fayetteville, N.C. Mr. Braggs is a Retired Special Forces Green Beret from the 5th Special Forces Group, where he served for 22 years in Special Operations. He is a member of EW Armstrong Lodge #145, and ASWAN Shriner Temple #115 in Frankfurt, Germany. He is a member of St. John AME Zion Church in Fayetteville, N.C.

The couple visited Burlington, Vt., and other points of interest. The couple will reside in Moultrie.
