As a corporate sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Colquitt County, Turning Point is committed to partnering with the community in the effort to end cancer. Each year Turning Point’s Relay for Life committee plans a number of fundraisers that help the team meet its goal. One recent fundraising success was Turning Point’s ‘Employee Fun Day,’ celebrated on March 14. Everyone seemed to enjoy great fellowship and outstanding food while watching their colleagues raise money for Relay by climbing into a dunking booth or having a pie thrown in their face. ‘Employee Fun Day’ exceeded the fundraising goal set by the committee and helped Turning Point reach its overall goal for 2014. One Turning Point employee stated that the ‘company is made up of many diverse members. Each member plays an important role in making Turning Point a successful organization. Teamwork is practiced every day, even in our fundraising.’ Turning Point employees and former patients are all looking forward to the Colquitt County Relay for Life event on Friday, April 25, at Heritage Church.
