Moultrie Tech ESL students celebrate Flag Week

Moultrie Technical College’s English as a Second Language, or ESL, students celebrated Flag Week 2014 during June 9-13 during their classes on MTC’s Industrial Drive Campus. Instructors Pennie Casteel and Lacey Robinson developed creative civics lessons to help the students learn more the American flag and U.S. history. The students also made their own flags and learned about the 50 states.

City of Moultrie Mayor Bill McIntosh visited the students on Thursday, followed by an ice cream social. Part of the Flag Week celebration and dessert social included a Red, White and Blue Costume Contest.
