Chick-fil-A, Inc., recently presented $1,000 scholarships to Hannah Vereen and Lance Lott. Both attend Valdosta State University. Vereen is studying childhood education and is working on her student teaching. Lott is studying history. To earn the scholarships, they each worked 2,000 hours with Chick-fil-A, had a 3.5 GPA or higher and two letters of recommendation from the Moultrie Chick-fil-A owner, Britt Young, and a professor. The checks were written directly to VSU and signed by Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy himself.
