VALDOSTA — Mr. and Mrs. John J. Fretti are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Kathleen Fretti, to Jarrod Benjamin Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vance Thomas.

The bride-to-be graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology and from Florida State University with a Master’s of Science in exercise physiology. She is currently employed as a faculty member at Valdosta State University.

Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Roby of Valdosta, and Betty Pope of Moultrie and the late John Pope.

The groom-to-be graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing. He is currently employed at Alpha Pro Tech.

His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Horace Thomas of Hahira, and C. Dwayne Cardin of Madisonville, Tenn., and the late Lee Windham.

The wedding is set to take place Nov. 8, 2014, in Dahlonega, Ga.
