MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County varsity cross country teams have fared well in recent meets.
The varsity Lady Packers were third in the Ram Run Invitational held Sept. 20 in Sylvester.
Colquitt’s top five were Judith Manuel-Moctezuma, who was fifth overall; Jessica Tercero-Bernabe, seventh; Chelsea Moreno, 11th; Blair Summerlin, 14th; and McKenzie Wright, 15th.
Also running for the Lady Packers were Hayden Champion, Madison Ford and Lydia James.
Hudson Champion was second with a 17:37.05 to lead the Packers to a fifth-place finish in the 5K run boys race in Sylvester.
Nathan Perales was 18th; Alan Guerrero, 26th; Uziel Garcia, 33rd; and Amicah Carroll, 38th.
Also running for the Packers were Sam Brown, Neftali Rodriguez Falcon, Willis McCranie, Ben Yingling and Sam Lewis.
The Colquitt girls also were fourth in the Sept. 13 Deerfield-Windsor Invitational in Albany.
Tercero-Bernabe was 26th; Moreno, 28th; Summerlin, 31st; Wright, 37th; and Jaida Gachuz was 64th.
Also running for the girls were Eidi Gachuz, Hayden Champion, Sadie Wetherington, Madison Ford and Elizabeth Tucker.
The Packers, led by Hudson Champion’s 17:24.34 good for ninth-place, were 11th in the Deerfield-Windsor Invitational.
Also for the Colquitt County boys, Ben Yingling, was 64th; Christopher Quintana-Estrada, 66th; Nathan Perales, 69th; and Uziel Garcia, 73rd.
Colquitt County will run next on Saturday, Sept. 27 in the 24th Annual Tift County Invitational to be held at ABAC.
