MOULTRIE – Colquitt County School District earns Cognia Systems Accreditation. Cognia is a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and also education service providers.

Superintendent of Schools Dan Chappuis said, “We are proud to announce the renewal of our accreditation with Cognia, which reflects our commitment to academic excellence, student success, and continuous improvement. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated staff, our community’s support, and our students’ resilience. We will continue striving to provide an education that prepares every student for their preferred future.”

The organization recognizes schools and districts across the globe that meet rigorous standards. Accordingly, the standards are focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation, and effective leadership. To earn the organization’s accreditation, a school district must submit to internal and external review. Basically, earning accreditation from the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission means that the school system meets the commission’s performance standards and also commits to continuous improvement. Additionally, schools and districts in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a six-year term.
