Beck Gregory wins high point
award at YMCA Nationals

MOULTRIE – Beck Gregory was the high-point boy and sister Amelia Gregory was third among the girls in the recent 2025 YMCA National Diving Championships.
The Moultrie YMCA was represented by eight divers at the annual championships, held at the Rosen Aquatics Center in Orlando, Fla.
The meet, held April 10-12, drew 104 athletes.
The eight Moultrie divers combined to bring home seven gold, four silver and four bronze medals.Beck Gregory, diving in 14-15 boys, took gold medals on both springboards and on platform.
With his sweep, he finished tied atop the list of boys entered in the meet with Arthur Palladino of the New Rochelle (N.Y.) YMCA, who also had three first-place finishes.
Amelia Gregory, 12-13 girls, was first in both the 3-meter and platform events and was the runner-up on 1-meter.
She finished tied for third overall.
The YMCA divers, all of whom are members of the Moss Farms program, also turned in two other first-place finishes.
Jewel Hart took the gold medal in 16-21 girls 1-meter event.
She also was third on platform and seventh on 3-meter.
Zechariah Ledl was first in the 16-21 boys platform event.
He also was second on 3-meter and was fourth on 1-meter and finished tied for fourth among the male divers.
Elizabeth Ann Hobby had an outstanding meet, finishing seventh overall.
In 16-21 girls, she earned silver medal on 3-meter and platform and was fourth on 1-meter.
Among those receiving bronze medals were Maggie Strange, was third on both springboards.
Logan Griffin finished third in the 16-21 boys platform event.
He also was fifth on 3-meter and sixth on 1-meter.
Kendall Deloach was fifth on 3-meter and sixth on 1-meter in the 16-21 girls competition.
Moss Farms divers are now preparing for the USA Diving Region 3 Championships, to be held April 26-27 in Tallahassee.
Divers will compete there for berths in the Zone B championships, which will be held June 5-8 at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Junior Nationals will be held July 25-Aug. 3 in Mission Viejo, Calif.
