get home sweep of Crisp

MOULTRIE – The Colquitt County baseball junior varsity B- and C-teams swept a pair of games from Crisp County on Wednesday at Packer Park.
The B-team scored 11 runs in the bottom of the third and final inning to take a 15-0 run-rule victory.
The win raised the B-team’s record to 5-6.
Brey Sands pitched the first two innings and Tyson Samples pitched the third.
Wesley Hall had a pair of doubles and drove in four runs to lead the Packers offense.
Jackson Edwards also had two hits.
Samples, Sands, Wyatt Thompson, Owen Avery, Luke Strong and Hardin Reeves also had base hits.
Thompson drove in a pair of runs.
The C-team also scored in double-digits, defeating Crisp 10-4.
Bradley Bryan started on the mound and went the first two innings.
Hall pitched three innings in relief and gave up just one earned run.
Cohen Lawson led the Packers with a triple and a double.
Bryan, Hall, Thompson, Sands, Gavin Henderson and Briar Littleton each had a single for the C-team, now 5-4.
The B- and C-teams will travel to Adel on Saturday for a doubleheader against Cook.
