Individuals can purchase a banner, now, with their veterans' photo printed on it. Limited poles are available. It is on a first come, first serve.
MOULTRIE – The veterans pole banners that will be placed throughout the downtown area in July are all sold-out. Initially, there were 33 banners available for purchase.
Downtown Moultrie is honoring the community’s veterans with the placement of the banners in downtown.
Main Street Manager Caroline Barber said, “It’s a good way to honor those who serve.”
Each red, white and blue banner will feature the photograph of a local veteran with their name, branch of service and war they served in. The banners are 30-inches-by-60-inches and the photo will be displayed on both sides.
All proceeds will go back into programming for downtown activities like Spring Fling and Lights! Lights! Thanksgiving Night!
