The Colquitt County middle school golf team has continued its strong season leading up to next Monday’s the region championship tournament at Sunset Country Club. The Packers shot a 327 to earn another runner-up finish to Coffee on Monday at River Pointe Golf Club in Albany. It was a windy day on slick greens for the players. David Herndon had an outstanding round of 75, one of the best of the tournament. Davis Hall came in with an 80. Wesley Allen had his best round of the year, an 81, and Ches Redding shot a 91 to finish out the top four. Carter Bridges shot his lowest round for the year with a 93. Charlie Newton also came in with his low round of the year as well with a 92. The team includes, from left, David Herndon, coach Hunter Daughtrey, Wesley Allen, Carter Bridges, Davis Hall, Charlie Newton and Ches Redding.
