SYLVESTER — A rally April 4 will raise money to support two South Georgia motorcyclists who were hurt in an accident last month.
Roger Tillery and Eric Murphy collided with a car that pulled in front of them Feb. 7 in Sylvester, according to Connie Tucker of Moultrie. They were leaving a meeting of the Warriors of Faith Motorcycle Ministry, which Tucker and her husband, Pete Tucker, are also involved in.
Tillery died Feb. 13, Connie Tucker said. Murphy has undergone surgeries due to his injuries and was still in the hospital in Macon as of March 12, when the Warriors of Faith posted an update to its Facebook page.

Tillery, who went by the nickname Preacher, was from the Leesburg area, and Murphy is from Sylvester, Tucker said. The ministry meets in Poulan but has members from throughout the region.
A Bike Night Worship Rally is planned for 6-8 p.m. April 4 at Jeffords Park on East Willingham Street in Sylvester. All bikes are welcome. There will be food trucks and raffles. A time of worship will begin at 7 p.m. and include a moment of silence in memory of Tillery.
The event is being sponsored by Britt Dene Music. Dene, a Tifton native, is a Christian music artist based in Nashville.
Donations will be taken up for both families during the rally.
