MOULTRIE – University of Georgia College of Environment and Design student Sofi Hooks visited Moultrie to meet with staff from the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks & Recreation Authority and the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library.

Hooks is a graduate assistant with the Archway Partnership who is collaborating with these organizations to create a landscape design for Bert Harsh Park. The park is located adjacent to the library, and the project goal is to make it an inclusive space for sensory exploration and outdoor education.

The Archway Partnership is one of eight UGA Public Service and Outreach units dedicated to serving the state. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Archway and UGA’s innovative approach to community engagement have won a number of national awards and garnered a more than $7.6 million return on investment for Georgia communities last year.
