athletes shine in state meet

MOULTRIE – Four Titans Swimming Academy (TSA) athletes delivered impressive performances at the recent Georgia Peach State Championship, held recently at the Tommy Stalnaker Aquatic Center in Warner Robins.
Jonah Bilello, swimming in the 10-and-under boys division, had several top finishes.
He claimed victory in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking an impressive 1:08.74. He also dominated the 100-yard individual medley, taking first place with a time of 1:16.24.
In the 50-yard freestyle, he earned a second-place finish with 30.51, while also taking second place in the 50-yard backstroke.
Bilello also placed third in the 50-yard butterfly and fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke.
Caroline Askew, swimming in the girls 11-12 division, also earned several top finishes.
She claimed second place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.60 seconds and demonstrated her endurance in the 100-yard freestyle, securing fifth place with a 1:04.07.
Caroline also took third place in the 100-yard individual medley with a Georgia Age Group (GA-Q) qualifying time of 1:14.33.
She added to her medal tally with a third-place finish in the 50-yard butterfly and second-place finish in the 50-yard backstroke.
Taylor Bass, also swimming in the girls 11-12 division, had top-10 finishes in several races.
She powered through the 50-yard backstroke in 34.87 seconds and delivered a solid effort in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 1:06.30.
In the 100-yard individual medley, she demonstrated her all-around skill, finishing in 1:16.94.
Her best performance came in the 100-yard backstroke, where she was fourth with a 1:16.71.
In the boys 13-14 division, Selah Huante competed in the 50-yard freestyle and also participated in the 100-yard individual medley, finishing with a 1:11.61.
“TSA is more than just a swim team; we are a community built on values that go beyond the pool,” said Jaime Huante, Titans Swimming Academy head coach. “Jonah, Caroline, Taylor Beth and Selah exemplify the excellence we strive for, demonstrating intelligence in their race strategies, fairness in their competition and balance in their approach to training.”
