Dancewear industry leader chooses Moultrie for
new distribution center

MOULTRIE — The Moultrie Colquitt County Development Authority announced on Monday the expansion of Só Dança, a global leader in the dancewear industry. After months of discussions and planning, the Ransan family selected Moultrie as the home for their new distribution center at 209 Third St. N.E.
Renovations on the facility are already under way, with completion expected in Spring 2025. The new addition is expected to bring 30+ jobs to the new location.
Moultrie Colquitt County Development Authority Chairman Ross Dekle said, “Over the past two years, the Development Authority has operated under a unified vision to bring growth and prosperity to our community. As a testament to the efforts of the MCCDA board and staff, we are honored to welcome Só Dança to Moultrie and Colquitt County. With the company’s rich history and prominence in their industry, Só Dança and the Ransan family will certainly be tremendous assets to our community.”
For more than 35 years, Só Dança has been a global leader in the dancewear industry, setting the standard in innovation, quality, and style, the Development Authority said in a press release. They are committed to creating cutting-edge dance apparel and footwear that meet the needs of dancers at every level.
The Só Dança brand has a profound connection to the dance community, collaborating with world-renowned artists and institutions, the authority said. Their products are trusted by those like Tiler Peck of the New York City Ballet, the iconic Rockettes, Broadway performers, and instructors at the Broadway Dance Center.
