Megahee to speak
at First Pitch Dinner

MOULTRIE – Former Colquitt County baseball player and current Florida State assistant coach Ty Megahee will be the speaker at the First Pitch Dinner and Silent Auction.
The event, sponsored by the Packers baseball program, will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 3, at the Colquitt County High cafeteria.
Tickets are $30 and include a seafood dinner provided by Market Barbecue.
Event sponsorships are available for $500 and include two tickets to the dinner, a Packer Hog leather patch hat, recognition during the event and recognition in the event program.
Megahee was an infielder and pitcher for the Jerry Croft-coached Packers and graduated in 2001.
He played two seasons at Darton College in 2002-2003 before transferring to play for Link Jarrett at Mercer in 2004-2005.
He has 18 years of Division I coaching experience at Mercer (2006-2008 and 2014-1015), Monmouth (2009), Auburn (2010-2013), Western Kentucky (2016-2018) and Pitt (2019-2023).
He spent the 2024 season as the hitting coach and recruiting coordinator for the Florida State baseball team that went 49-17 and reached the College World Series under Jarrett.
