MOULTRIE – Colquitt County schools will will be closed on Friday and will resume normal operations on Monday, January 27.

In a press release the school system stated that the safety of their students and staff was their first priority. With that in mind, they evaluated the road conditions across the county with the help of the Public Works Department, the Transportation Department, and the Sheriff’s Office. Due to the icy conditions of a high number of roads across the county, schools will remain closed.

If conditions allow, all district administration (directors and above) and school-level 12-month administrators are asked to report at 10 a.m., Friday, to start planning to make up lost instructional time.
