MOULTRIE – The Colquitt County School System, after consulting with the local Emergency Management team and receiving regular updates from the National Weather Service, will have an early release on Tuesday.

A press release said that the district offices will also close early and all schools and district offices will remain closed on Wednesday.

The early release times for Tuesday are:

•GEAR/Vereen: 1:30 p.m. (starting with buses)

•Elementary schools: 1:45 p.m.

•Achievement Center: 2 p.m.

•CCHS: 2:30 p.m.

•Junior High and Middle School: 2:45 p.m.

•District Office: 3 p.m.

The press release also said that any after school activities planned for Tuesday will end no later than 4 p.m. and there will be no after-school activities scheduled for Wednesday.

The school system will continue monitoring weather conditions and provide updates if further changes are needed.
