MOULTRIE – The Hope House Parenting Center of Moultrie and Vashti Center for Children and Families of Thomasville have joined forces to host their first Women’s Summit on Friday, Feb. 14.
This event is designed to empower hope and embrace resilience in the women of the Colquitt County community. So, it brings together different exhibitors, vendors, and services with the women who need them the most, Hope House said in a press release.
Exhibitors and booths will be available to assist the women in everything from finding housing and jobs to healthcare check-ups. Free haircuts and manicures will be offered. Special craft booths will also be available and lunch will be served to those participating in the event.
“Our main goal for this event is to connect women with resources that can enhance their lives, therefore bettering the family structure and ultimately strengthening our community,” said Anna Chappell, CEO of Hope House Parenting Center. “When Vashti approached us about collaborating with them, we immediately saw an opportunity to bridge the gaps between need and have.”
This event will be on the Moultrie Campus of Southern Regional Technical College. The doors will open at 10 a.m. with lunch served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Women’s Summit event is free to all women. However, registration is recommended as some of the booths have allotted spots. To register, contact The Hope House at (229) 890-5244 or Vashti at (229) 226-4634.
