When officers arrived on the scene, they could hear the two yelling and they immediately separated them, according to the Moultrie police report.

One officer spoke to the woman, who stated the man had thrown beer and pickle juice on her. She also stated that she had taken his glasses and thrown spaghetti at him “out of frustration.” She then stated that the man had thrown her phone toward the canal on the back side of the apartments.

As there was a lot of vegetation in the area of the canal, the phone was not recovered at the time of the report, police said.

The man also stated that he had thrown beer and pickle juice on the woman but denied throwing her phone and didn’t know where her phone was.

Based on their statements, the man and woman were arrested and taken to the Colquitt County Jail.

The woman’s almost 2-year-old son was in the house at the time of the argument and his grandmother took custody of him at the scene.

Police said warrants will be taken on the man and woman for simple assault and cruelty to children third degree.
