ADEL — First Commerce Credit Union opened its financial center in Adel Saturday for special hours.
In addition to financial services, it offered a comfort station where a steady stream of people from area communities charged electronic devices while enjoying snacks in the air conditioning, the credit union’s COO said in an email Sunday morning.
“Due to the popular demand, our team extended our hours even beyond what we had originally announced,” Kim Howes said in her email. “After seeing the needs of our South Georgia communities firsthand, First Commerce will again open our Adel financial center lobby for special hours today (Sunday, Sept. 29) noon to 4 p.m., including a comfort station. In Adel, we are located at 101 N. Hutchinson Ave.
“At lunchtime today (Sunday), we will also host a Free Community Cookout at our Adel financial center, offering freshly grilled hot dogs, chips and bottled water while supplies last.
“In addition today (Sunday), we will be taking bagged lunches from the Adel cookout to First Commerce’s Nashville, Ga., financial center for distribution after 1 p.m. while supplies last. Our Nashville location is at 301 S. Davis St.”
